The Egg Donation Process for Intended Parents

We know that making the decision to pursue egg donation as a method of starting your family is not an easy decision to make. Thank you for selecting Simple Surrogacy to help you along your journey. This blog will look more into the egg donation process for Intended Parents.

Requirements

The first step in the process is to determine if Simple Surrogacy is the right fit for your journey. There are certain requirements that must be met to become an Intended Parent with Simple Surrogacy, some of which include:

  • No criminal history (background check required)
  • Completed paperwork fully
  • Between the ages of 21-60
  • Be in a stable living situation
  • Have the support of your spouse or partner (when applicable)
  • Have read and understood the egg donation process
  • Be willing to undergo a Psychological assessment

For a full list of our requirements, please visit our website.

The Process

The next step is to register online to become an Intended Parent. This will grant you access to our extensive database of Egg Donors. We ask that you select up to three potential Egg Donors and submit your selections to us with your top choice located at the top of the list. From here, our team will verify your selections and send you an application form which is a short survey that will help verify the Egg Donors’ ability to donate for you. Once we confirm that the Egg Donor is willing, we will contact you!

After the confirmation, the administrative fee will be paid and you can then request additional photographs, medical records, or any additional information that your clinic requires from the Egg Donor. Once this process is complete, we will ensure the clinic information is ready and we ask that you establish escrow to fund the Egg Donor’s travel to the screening and any associated expenses. When the Egg Donor passes the screening stage, the final part of the retainer fee is due.

The next step is to draft, review, and sign contracts! These contracts will be sent to the clinic. The full escrow will then be due which includes the full amount of the Egg Donor’s compensation and estimated expenses for travel. The clinic will then schedule the cycle and your Egg Donor will attend the retrieval. Once the retrieval is completed, her expenses and compensation will be paid.

If you are considering using Egg Donation to grow your family, contact the team at Simple Surrogacy today! Our team is available to answer any of your questions and help guide you on your journey!
