At Simple Surrogacy, we strive to make the process as simple as possible, but there are still steps and requirements that must be followed. Once you have officially decided to become a surrogate, the process can truly begin. The first step in the process is our Application. This application asks some background questions in order for us to ensure that you are the right fit. Once you have submitted your application, a coordinator will contact you. At this point you will be asked to send complete medical records from your previous pregnancies and deliveries. We do this to ensure that you are a good candidate to become a surrogate.
Once you have completed the above, you will be asked to come in for an interview. During this interview you will learn more about surrogacy, the agreement, and the benefits involved.
After the interview has been completed and you fully understand the process, we will run a background check. This is a standard procedure to ensure that you are a good fit for surrogacy.
We will check with your insurance to see if you are fully covered for the surrogacy. If you are not, we will help you gain the additional coverage that you need.
A psychological interview is an important step in the process. Surrogacy can be an emotionally demanding experience so it is important that you are in a good mental state.
Once you have passed the above steps, you can begin looking at profiles for one to select. You will be assigned an experienced coordinator (and previous surrogate) who can help guide you through the process. Once you select a profile we will mediate a phone call, and if it goes well, an in-person meeting.
Once you have been matched with a profile you will undergo a medical screening at a clinic that the intended parents select. This will provide both parties with peace of mind.
A contract will be drawn up outlining the travel arrangements, costs, and more to ensure that you are properly compensated. Once the contract has been completed and signed the journey can begin!
