If an Intended Parent selects your profile and you agree to donate, you will be sent to screening at the clinic and have medical tests, including a physical exam, an infectious disease screening, a test to determine the functioning of your ovaries, a screening for inherited disease, and a psychological screening.
Some of the potential donors who undergo these tests may not qualify to donate eggs, but that is unusual. Most healthy donors have no issue being selected and qualifying to donate eggs.
Once you are qualified by the clinic to become a donor, you will start taking medications for the next 10 days or so. You’ll also have blood tests and undergo ultrasounds. The entire medical process is less than a month. You are compensated $750 when you begin medication=s, and after retrieval, you receive your full compensation.
Once this part of the egg donation process has finished, the recipient will take a pregnancy test after a few days. If the recipient’s test is positive, congratulations! This means you helped an individual or couple achieve their dream of starting a family.
