Becoming a Surrogate is the most selfless gift that any woman could give another couple or individual. The process is very intimate and challenging though, so many potential Surrogates have several questions before beginning the process. That’s why we created a list of some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive about surrogacy!
I’ve had my tubes tied, can I still become a Surrogate?
If you have had your tubes tied, you may assume that you can’t become a Surrogate – but this is not true! Even women who have had their tubes tied can become Surrogates. When you are a Gestational Surrogate, the process will involve an egg and sperm from either the Intended Parent or a Donor. This means that you do not have to become pregnant on your own, and your own eggs are not involved. You won’t even be genetically related to the baby you are carrying. The embryo will be created and then inserted directly into your uterus, which means that your fallopian tubes are not needed at all!
Can I pick my OB or midwife? Can I pick my delivery hospital?
When you choose to work with Simple Surrogacy for your journey, you can pick both your OB/midwife and your delivery hospital! Your preferences will be noted in your profile and our team will ensure to match you with Intended Parents according to your preferences.
How soon will I be matched with Intended Parents?
As soon as your profile is completed, we can match you! We have wonderful Intended Parents waiting for a surrogate just like you. Choose from our wonderful heterosexual or gay couple, and from domestic or International parents.
Why would I want to be a Surrogate?
Being a surrogate is a fully enriching experience. Not only will you be helping a deserving couple or single to create the family you have always dreamed of having, but you will be assisting your family financially through the process. Surrogates are well compensated for their time and care they provide to the baby they are carrying. All expenses are paid. This may enable you to stay home with your kids while still bringing an income to the family. You will also be the central part to someone’s journey to making a family, and the bond that can create is unlike any other. There are so many rewards to giving the gift of surrogacy!
Why Simple Surrogacy?
There are several reasons why Simple Surrogacy stands out from other surrogacy agencies. As a surrogate, you should know that Simple Surrogacy is run by former Surrogates and Egg Donors, so we understand your experience first hand! We will insure your journey is everything you want it to be, and protect your legal and financial interests because we have been there ourselves. Unlike agencies run by former Intended Parents, we understand the surrogate experience better than anyone. We are one of the largest surrogacy and egg donation agencies in the United States and we work in every state where surrogacy is supported by the legal system. We are proud members of the Better Business Bureau, adhere to ASRM/SART guidelines, and FDA guidelines in all of our Surrogacy and Egg Donor programs.
